Freelance Project Producer

Single Shoe Productions is growing and we’re looking for an experienced, dynamic and versatile Producer to support the company’s current project, working alongside the two co-Artistic Directors.

The company is currently developing a new show, alongside delivering engagement activities in the North, Midlands and East Anglia. Following on our latest video series #TakeUsThere, the company is also growing an online audience.

This is a great opportunity to get involved with an exciting international company. This project will take place between June and September with the possibility of extending the role. 

 

Key responsibilities

  • Assist with managing relationships with partners, collaborators and venues

  • Support audience development activities, including liaising with engagement officers in the communities we are working within

  • Spearhead our marketing development in collaboration with a PR agency, refining copy and images for touring and educational activities and helping craft our marketing strategy

Person Specification

 

Essential:

- Strong relationships with venues that actively programme and support the development of visual theatre

- Up-to-date understanding of a variety of digital platforms including social media

- Accountability to deadlines and strong time management skills

- A minimum of three years’ experience as a Producer

- Excellent copy writing skills

 

Desirable:

- Energy, drive, hope and a deep curiosity in the world

- Proven expertise in researching, writing & managing successful funding applications

- Commitment, dedication and a desire to create a long-lasting relationship with a growing company

- Excitement for theatre that is collaborative, visual, non-traditional and ever-evolving

Employment type: Freelance contract

 

Location: The company is London-based but this role will be primarily done remotely.

 

Hours:  We envision the role to be flexible with a total of 10 days between beginning of June through to September.

 

Salary: £150 - £175 p/day, depending on experience.

Project Manager

Freelance Project Manager

Single Shoe Productions is growing and we’re looking for an experienced, dynamic and versatile Project Manager to support the company’s current project, working alongside the two co-Artistic Directors and liaising with designers.

The company is currently developing a new show which will use illusion & live interactive video projections. Following on our latest video series #TakeUsThere, the company is also growing an online audience.

This is a great opportunity to get involved with an exciting international company. This project will take place between August and October with the possibility of extending the role. 

 

Key responsibilities

  • Help create & manage ambitious, yet achievable goals for our team of directors, devisers and designers

  • Assist collaborators when there is a difficulty meeting goals

  • Assist Directors in acquiring tech & materials required for residencies

  • Facilitate and troubleshoot tech during work-in-progress presentations

  • Create a touring plan for the technical aspects of the work (e.g. equipment, personnel and required venue technical specifications)

 

Person Specification

 

Essential:

- Accountability to deadlines and strong time management skills

- A minimum of three years’ experience as a Project Manager / Stage Manager

- Excellent leadership skills

 

Desirable:

- Energy, drive, hope and a deep curiosity in the world

- Knowledge of technical theatre and solid computer skills 

- Commitment, dedication and a desire to create a long-lasting relationship with a growing company

- Excitement for theatre that is collaborative, visual, non-traditional and ever-evolving

Employment type: Freelance contract

 

Location: The company is London-based but this role will be done remotely on the lead up to our residencies (in July & August) and on location during Residencies (August - October) dates TBC. 

 

Salary: £120 - £150 p/day, depending on experience.
